5 on Joy And Where It Comes From

Updated: Sep 20, 2019

If you're willing to accept it... this is where the Living Scripture alone has the power to change the way you view God, the world, others around you and your very own life. #SolaScriptura

So let's get to it... Here's your 5 on Joy and Where It Comes From:

1. John 16:22-24

22 So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy. 23 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. 24 You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.

2. proverbs 15:23-24

23 Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! 24 The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind.

3. Psalm 51:10-12

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. 11 Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.

4. Isaiah 35:10

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

5. Philemon 1:6-7

6 And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ. 7 Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people.
